Visit Athens With This Cool App

Acropolis Interactive Educational 3D is an educational app that specifically teaches about the history of the Acropolis citadel of Athens, Greece in the 5th century BC. Partnered with the mozaik3D app, Acropolis Interactive offers a 3-dimensional learning experience for students between 8 to 18 years old, although it’s interesting enough to be of great help to anyone willing to learn. What makes this app even better is that you can turn on VR Mode to take a tour around the historical site using your VR headset.

Not that New

Digital history materials will always include 3D models of ancient sights, like pyramids or old castles. Even before virtual reality apps became popular and let you see these amazing architectures up close, there were already several educational materials that provided 3D tours, along with interactive learning like puzzles or quizzes while you check out the place. After all, it’s much easier to learn about something when you can observe it for yourself. Plus, most of the ancient historical sites nowadays have been battered by time and most likely lost some pieces of themselves that people can’t see anymore, even if they visit the actual location. Fortunately, 3D modeling exists, and tons of digital reconstructions have been made to these places. These technological innovations have helped the education sector to more effectively teach students about history.

Still a Great Idea

Acropolis Interactive Educational 3D is one of these educational materials in the convenient form of an app. True to its name, it’s highly interactive in 3D and relies on the visual sense to educate you about the various facts concerning Acropolis, Athens. Using the app, you can fiddle with the camera—either rotate, enlarge, or view from preset angles all of the fully-interactive scenes provided. Most of them have narrations like you’re listening to the teacher’s discussion, and there are even built-in animations. There are also historical captions, animated quizzes, and some scenes have a Walk Mode, letting you move around the space with or without your VR goggles. What’s even better is that the app comes with several languages, which is a great opportunity to learn some new foreign words along the way.

It’s Like You’re Actually There

Overall, as a history app, this mozaik3D special app performs well and gives such a crisp quality to the graphics—which, in turn, contributes to your enjoyment with checking out all of Acropolis. There are only a few hiccups with the app itself, but it’s highly recommended to those researching more about the historical site.
